Thesis Defense
A Thesis Defense is a formal event where a student presents their research findings to a committee of experts, typically as part of a graduate program. During this presentation, the student explains their thesis, methodology, and conclusions, demonstrating their understanding of the subject matter. The committee usually consists of faculty members from the student's department, and they assess the quality and originality of the research.
Following the presentation, the committee engages the student in a question-and-answer session. This allows them to probe deeper into the research and evaluate the student's critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Successfully defending a thesis is often a requirement for obtaining a graduate degree, such as a Master's or Ph.D..
