Thermostatic Expansion Valve
A Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is a crucial component in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. It regulates the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator coil based on the temperature of the refrigerant leaving the coil. This ensures that the system operates efficiently and maintains the desired temperature.
The TXV contains a sensing bulb that monitors the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant. When the temperature rises, the valve opens to allow more refrigerant to flow, enhancing cooling. Conversely, if the temperature drops, the valve closes to reduce the flow, preventing excess refrigerant and ensuring optimal performance.
