Theories of Love
Theories of love explore the different ways people experience and express affection. One well-known theory is Robert Sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love, which identifies three components: intimacy, passion, and commitment. These elements combine in various ways to form different types of love, such as romantic love or companionate love.
Another important theory is John Lee's Love Styles, which categorizes love into six styles: eros (romantic), ludus (playful), storge (friendship), pragma (practical), mania (obsessive), and agape (selfless). Each style reflects unique attitudes and behaviors in relationships, helping to understand how individuals connect with one another.
