Theodore Beza
Theodore Beza was a French Protestant theologian and scholar born in 1519. He is best known for his role in the Reformation and as a successor to John Calvin in Geneva. Beza contributed significantly to the development of Reformed theology and was instrumental in the establishment of the Geneva Academy.
In addition to his theological work, Beza was a prolific writer and translator. He is particularly noted for his translations of the New Testament into French and his defense of the Calvinist faith against various opponents.
