Thebe
Thebe is one of the many moons orbiting the planet Jupiter. It is classified as a small, irregularly shaped moon and is part of the Himalia group, which consists of several moons that share similar orbits. Thebe has a diameter of about 100 kilometers (62 miles) and is primarily composed of ice and rock.
Discovered in 1979 by the Voyager 1 spacecraft, Thebe has a dark surface, which suggests it may be covered in carbon-rich materials. Its orbit is relatively close to Jupiter, and it takes approximately 8.5 hours to complete one revolution around the planet.
