The Youngbloods
The Youngbloods was an American rock band formed in 1966, known for their blend of folk, rock, and psychedelic music. The group originally consisted of Jesse Colin Young, Jerry Corbitt, Luther Grosvenor, and Banana (real name: Richard L. Smith). They gained popularity with their hit song "Get Together," which became an anthem for peace and unity during the late 1960s.
The band released several albums throughout their career, with their self-titled debut in 1967 and "Earth Music" in 1970. Although they disbanded in 1972, their music continues to resonate, and "Get Together" remains a significant cultural reference in discussions about social change and community.
