The Trustees of Reservations
The Trustees of Reservations is a nonprofit organization in Massachusetts dedicated to preserving and protecting natural and historic places. Founded in 1891, it is the first land trust in the United States and manages over 27,000 acres of land, including parks, gardens, and beaches. The organization aims to provide public access to these spaces while promoting conservation and education.
The Trustees maintain a variety of properties, such as the Gardner State Park and the Castle Hill on the Crane Estate. They offer programs and events that encourage community engagement and foster appreciation for the state's natural and cultural heritage.
