The Starland Vocal Band
The Starland Vocal Band was an American music group formed in 1976, best known for their hit song "Afternoon Delight." The band consisted of four members: Bill Danoff, Taffy Nivert, Jon Carroll, and Margot Chapman. They blended elements of pop and country music, creating a unique sound that gained popularity in the late 1970s.
The group achieved significant success with their self-titled debut album, which included their chart-topping single. They also made appearances on television, including a stint on the variety show The Merv Griffin Show. Despite their initial success, the band disbanded in the early 1980s, but their music remains a nostalgic part of that era.
