The Snow Leopard
The Snow Leopard is a large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. It is known for its thick, smoky-gray fur with black rosettes and spots, which helps it blend into its rocky habitat. Snow leopards are well-adapted to cold environments, with large paws that act like snowshoes and a long tail for balance.
These solitary animals primarily hunt for prey such as mountain goats and sheep. They are classified as vulnerable due to habitat loss and poaching. Conservation efforts are underway to protect their populations and preserve their natural habitats in regions like the Himalayas.
