The Selecter
The Selecter is a British ska band formed in 1979 in Coventry, England. Known for their energetic sound that blends ska, punk, and reggae, they were part of the 2 Tone movement, which aimed to promote racial unity through music. The band gained popularity with hits like "On My Radio" and "Three Minute Hero," showcasing their distinctive style and socially conscious lyrics.
The original lineup included lead vocalist Polly Styrene and guitarist Neol Davies. Over the years, The Selecter has undergone several lineup changes but has continued to perform and release new music, maintaining their influence in the ska genre.
