The Oblivians are an American garage rock band formed in 1993 in Memphis, Tennessee. The group consists of three members: Greg Cartwright, Jack Yarber, and Eric Friedl. They are known for their raw sound, blending punk rock with blues influences, and often feature lo-fi production techniques. The band gained a cult following in the 1990s, releasing several albums, including "Popular Favorites" and "Play 9 Songs with Mr. Quintron." They disbanded in 1997 but reunited in 2009, continuing to perform and record new music, contributing to the revival of garage rock in the indie music scene.
