The High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets of Manhattan, New York City. It stretches approximately 1.45 miles from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street near the Hudson Yards. Opened in 2009, the High Line was designed by James Corner Field Operations in collaboration with Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Joshua David. It has become a popular destination for both locals and tourists, showcasing the transformation of industrial infrastructure into a vibrant public space.
