The Great Lafayette
The Great Lafayette was a famous magician and illusionist in the early 20th century, known for his extravagant performances and elaborate stage shows. Born in 1871 as Sigmund Neuberger in Germany, he later moved to the United States and became a prominent figure in the world of magic, captivating audiences with his grand illusions and theatrical flair.
Lafayette was also known for his love of animals, particularly his beloved dog, a Maltese named Beauty. Tragically, both Lafayette and Beauty died in a fire during a performance in London in 1911. His legacy continues to influence magicians and entertainers today.
