The City of London
The City of London, often referred to simply as "the City," is a small area within Greater London. It is known as the historic and financial heart of the capital, covering about 1.12 square miles. The City is home to many important institutions, including the Bank of England and the London Stock Exchange, making it a global financial center.
The City is rich in history, with landmarks such as St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London. It has a unique governance structure, led by the Lord Mayor of London, and retains its own police force, the City of London Police.
