That Luang Stupa is a gold-covered Buddhist stupa located in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. It is considered the national symbol of Laos and is an important religious site for Buddhists. The stupa stands about 45 meters tall and is surrounded by a large courtyard, where visitors can observe various smaller shrines and statues.
Originally built in the 3rd century, That Luang has undergone several renovations over the centuries. The current structure, completed in the 19th century, features a distinctive lotus-bud shape, symbolizing purity and enlightenment. The stupa is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, especially during the annual That Luang Festival.
