Thai Script
Thai Script is the writing system used for the Thai language, which is the official language of Thailand. It consists of 44 consonants, 15 vowel symbols, and various tone markers. The script is an abugida, meaning that each character represents a consonant with an inherent vowel sound that can be modified with diacritics.
Developed in the 13th century by King Ramkhamhaeng, Thai Script is derived from the Khmer script, which in turn has roots in the Brahmi script of ancient India. The characters are written from left to right, and the script is known for its unique, flowing appearance, making it visually distinct from other writing systems.
