Territory of Hawaii
The Territory of Hawaii was an unincorporated territory of the United States from 1898 until it became the 50th state in 1959. It was established after the annexation of the Hawaiian Islands, which were previously an independent kingdom. The territory included all the main islands, such as Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii.
During its time as a territory, Hawaii experienced significant changes, including economic growth driven by the sugar and pineapple industries. The population grew as immigrants from various countries arrived, contributing to the diverse culture that characterizes Hawaii today.
