Tepehua language
The Tepehua language is an indigenous language spoken by the Tepehua people in Mexico, primarily in the states of Puebla and Veracruz. It belongs to the Totonacan language family and has several dialects, including Tepehua de la Sierra and Tepehua de la Costa.
Tepehua is recognized for its unique phonetic and grammatical features, which distinguish it from other languages in the region. Efforts are being made to preserve and revitalize the language, as it faces challenges from declining speakers and the influence of Spanish.
