Temne People
The Temne people are an ethnic group primarily found in the northern and western regions of Sierra Leone. They are one of the largest ethnic groups in the country, known for their rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and festivals. The Temne language, which belongs to the Niger-Congo family, is widely spoken among the community.
Historically, the Temne people have been involved in agriculture, cultivating crops such as rice, cassava, and groundnuts. They have a strong social structure, often organized into clans and chiefdoms, which play a significant role in their governance and community life.
