Telfair Museum
The Telfair Museum is located in Savannah, Georgia, and is one of the oldest public art museums in the southeastern United States. Founded in 1886, it features a diverse collection of American and European art, including paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts. The museum is housed in three historic buildings, including the Telfair Academy, which showcases neoclassical architecture.
In addition to its permanent collection, the Telfair Museum hosts temporary exhibitions and educational programs for visitors of all ages. The museum also includes the Owens-Thomas House, a historic home that offers insights into early 19th-century life in Savannah.
