Technical Diver
A Technical Diver is a scuba diver who goes beyond the limits of recreational diving. They use specialized equipment and techniques to explore deeper waters, often exceeding depths of 40 meters (130 feet). This type of diving may involve the use of mixed gases, such as Trimix or Heliox, to reduce the risks of nitrogen narcosis and oxygen toxicity.
Technical divers undergo extensive training to handle complex situations, including decompression procedures and emergency protocols. They often dive in challenging environments, such as wrecks or caves, where careful planning and advanced skills are essential for safety.
