Teapot asterism
Teapot asterism is a well-known pattern of stars located in the constellation Sagittarius. It resembles a teapot and is formed by eight bright stars that outline its shape, including the spout and handle. This asterism is easily recognizable in the night sky, especially during summer months in the Northern Hemisphere.
The stars that make up the Teapot include Kaus Australis, Kaus Media, and Kaus Borealis, among others. This asterism is significant for stargazers as it points toward the center of our Milky Way galaxy, making it a useful reference for locating other celestial objects.
