Team Roping Championships
The Team Roping Championships is a competitive rodeo event where two cowboys, known as the header and the heeler, work together to catch a steer. The header ropes the steer first, aiming for its horns, while the heeler follows to rope the steer’s hind legs. The goal is to complete the task as quickly as possible, showcasing teamwork and skill.
This event is popular in rodeos across the United States and is governed by various organizations, including the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Competitors often participate in multiple events, and the championships can attract top ropers from around the country.
