Tata Nano
The Tata Nano is a compact city car produced by the Indian automotive company Tata Motors. Launched in 2008, it was designed to be an affordable vehicle for the masses, with a price tag of around $2,000. The Nano aimed to provide a safer and more comfortable alternative to two-wheelers in India.
With a small, lightweight design, the Nano features a rear-engine layout and can accommodate four passengers. It is known for its fuel efficiency, achieving approximately 60 miles per gallon. Despite its innovative concept, the Nano faced challenges in sales and production, leading to its discontinuation in 2018.
