Tarnopol Voivodeship
Tarnopol Voivodeship was an administrative region in southeastern Poland from 1945 until 1998. It was known for its diverse cultural heritage, influenced by various ethnic groups, including Ukrainians, Poles, and Jews. The capital city, Tarnopol, served as a significant economic and cultural center in the area.
In 1999, the voivodeship was dissolved and divided into parts that were incorporated into neighboring regions, such as Lviv Voivodeship and Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Despite its dissolution, the historical and cultural legacy of Tarnopol Voivodeship continues to be recognized and celebrated in the region.
