Tansu Çiller
Tansu Çiller is a Turkish politician and economist who served as the Prime Minister of Turkey from 1993 to 1996. She was the first woman to hold this position in Turkey and is known for her role in the country's economic reforms during her tenure. Çiller was a member of the True Path Party and played a significant role in Turkish politics during the 1990s.
Born on May 9, 1946, in Istanbul, Çiller studied economics at Boğaziçi University and later earned a Ph.D. in economics from Yale University. After her time as Prime Minister, she continued to be active in politics and served in various roles, including as a member of the Turkish Parliament.
