Tangaroa
Tangaroa is a significant deity in Māori mythology, representing the god of the sea and all its creatures. He is often associated with the ocean's vastness and the life it supports, including fish and other marine animals. Tangaroa is considered a vital figure in the Māori pantheon, influencing fishing practices and the health of marine ecosystems.
In addition to his role as a sea god, Tangaroa is also linked to the concept of creation. According to Māori beliefs, he is one of the children of Rangi (the sky) and Papa (the earth), and his domain reflects the interconnectedness of nature and the importance of respecting the environment.
