Talos is a figure from ancient Greek mythology, often depicted as a giant bronze automaton. He was created by the god Hephaestus to protect the island of Crete from invaders. Talos would patrol the shores and throw stones at approaching ships, serving as a formidable guardian. In some versions of the myth, Talos had a single vein running from his head to his feet, filled with ichor, the divine fluid of the gods.
