Tally Youngblood is the main character in the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. She lives in a future society where everyone undergoes surgery at age sixteen to become "Pretty." Tally is initially excited about this transformation but later questions the societal norms and values surrounding beauty and conformity. Throughout the series, Tally embarks on a journey of self-discovery and rebellion against the oppressive system.
