Tallit
A Tallit is a traditional Jewish prayer shawl worn during morning prayers and special occasions. It is typically made of wool or cotton and features a rectangular shape. The Tallit has fringes, known as tzitzit, on its four corners, which are tied in a specific way according to Jewish law. These fringes serve as a reminder of the commandments in the Torah.
The Tallit is often worn over the shoulders and can be white with blue or black stripes. It is an important symbol of Jewish identity and spirituality, connecting the wearer to their faith and heritage. Many people also wear a smaller version called a Tallit Katan under their clothing throughout the day.
