Talking Board
A Talking Board, commonly known as a Ouija board, is a flat board marked with letters, numbers, and other symbols. Users place a planchette, a small heart-shaped piece, on the board and lightly touch it with their fingers. The planchette is believed to move to spell out messages, often thought to come from spirits or the subconscious mind.
The origins of the Talking Board date back to the late 19th century, during the spiritualist movement. It gained popularity as a parlor game, attracting interest from those curious about the supernatural. Despite its entertainment value, many people approach it with caution, considering the potential for psychological effects or misinterpretation of the messages received.
