Taleshi Language
The Taleshi language is a member of the Northwestern Iranian branch of the Indo-Iranian languages. It is primarily spoken in the Talesh region, which spans parts of northern Iran and southern Azerbaijan. The language has several dialects and is influenced by neighboring languages, including Azerbaijani and Persian.
Taleshi is considered a minority language, with a declining number of speakers due to urbanization and the dominance of Persian in education and media. Efforts are being made to preserve the language and promote its use among younger generations, highlighting its cultural significance in the region.
