Tày People
The Tày people are an ethnic group primarily found in northern Vietnam, particularly in the Northeast region. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and festivals. The Tày language belongs to the Tai-Kadai language family, and many Tày people also speak Vietnamese.
The Tày community is predominantly agricultural, with rice cultivation being a central part of their livelihood. They live in stilt houses and often practice animism alongside Buddhism. The Tày people celebrate various festivals, such as the Lễ hội Xuống đồng, which marks the beginning of the rice planting season.
