System on Chip
A System on Chip (SoC) is an integrated circuit that combines all the essential components of a computer or electronic system onto a single chip. This includes the central processing unit (CPU), memory, input/output ports, and sometimes even graphics processing units (GPUs). SoCs are commonly used in mobile devices, embedded systems, and IoT devices due to their compact size and efficiency.
By integrating multiple functions into one chip, SoCs reduce the physical space required and improve power efficiency. This makes them ideal for applications where size and energy consumption are critical, such as in smartphones, tablets, and wearable technology.
