Synesthesia
Synesthesia is a neurological condition where stimulation of one sensory pathway leads to automatic experiences in another sensory pathway. For example, a person with synesthesia might see colors when they hear music or associate specific tastes with certain words. This blending of the senses can vary widely among individuals, with some experiencing it more intensely than others.
People with synesthesia often report that their experiences are consistent over time. If a person sees the letter "A" as red, it will always appear that way to them. While the exact cause of synesthesia is not fully understood, it is believed to involve increased connectivity between sensory regions in the brain.
