Sylph
A sylph is a mythical creature often associated with the element of air. In various traditions, sylphs are depicted as graceful, ethereal beings that can be invisible or take on a delicate, human-like form. They are commonly found in literature and folklore, representing the spirit of the winds and the skies.
In the context of alchemy and elemental philosophy, sylphs are considered one of the four elemental spirits, alongside gnomes (earth), undines (water), and salamanders (fire). These beings are thought to embody the qualities of air, such as lightness, intellect, and freedom.
