Swiss Ice Hockey League
The Swiss Ice Hockey League (SIHL) is the top professional ice hockey league in Switzerland. Established in 2000, it features teams from various Swiss cities competing for the championship title. The league operates under a promotion and relegation system with the second-tier league, known as the Swiss League.
The SIHL consists of 14 teams that play a regular season followed by playoffs to determine the champion. The league is known for its high level of competition and has produced many talented players who have gone on to play in international leagues, including the NHL.
