Sweet Gases
"Sweet gases" refer to natural gases that contain a low concentration of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), making them less toxic and more pleasant to handle compared to "sour gases," which have higher H₂S levels. These gases are primarily composed of methane (CH₄) and are commonly found in natural gas deposits.
The term "sweet" is derived from the absence of the foul odor associated with hydrogen sulfide. Sweet gases are often used as a cleaner energy source for heating and electricity generation, contributing to a more environmentally friendly energy landscape compared to other fossil fuels.
