Swedish-Norwegian War
The Swedish-Norwegian War (1814) was a conflict between the Kingdom of Sweden and the Kingdom of Norway. It arose after the Treaty of Kiel, which transferred Norway from Danish to Swedish control. Norway, seeking independence, resisted Swedish rule, leading to military confrontations.
The war lasted from July to August 1814 and ended with the Convention of Moss. This agreement allowed Norway to maintain a degree of autonomy under a new constitution while being in a personal union with Sweden. The war marked a significant moment in the history of both nations, shaping their future relations.
