Swallows
Swallows are small, agile birds known for their graceful flight and distinctive forked tails. They belong to the family Hirundinidae and are found worldwide, except in extreme desert and polar regions. Swallows primarily feed on insects, catching them in mid-air, and are often seen flying in groups during the warmer months.
These birds are known for their migratory behavior, traveling long distances between breeding and wintering grounds. Many species, such as the Barn Swallow, build mud nests in sheltered locations, often near human habitation. Swallows are also recognized for their beautiful, iridescent plumage and melodious calls.
