Surmic languages
The Surmic languages are a group of languages spoken primarily in the southern regions of Sudan and parts of Ethiopia. They belong to the larger Nilo-Saharan language family and are characterized by their unique phonetic and grammatical features. The most widely spoken Surmic languages include Surma, Mursi, and Me'en.
These languages are primarily used by various ethnic groups, such as the Mursi and Surma people, who rely on them for daily communication and cultural expression. Surmic languages are known for their complex systems of noun classes and verb conjugations, which contribute to their rich linguistic diversity.
