Suri Language
The Suri language is a member of the Surmic languages, which are part of the larger Nilo-Saharan language family. It is primarily spoken by the Suri people, who reside in the southwestern region of Ethiopia. The language has several dialects, reflecting the diverse communities within the Suri population.
Suri is primarily an oral language, with limited written resources. It features a complex system of noun classes and verb conjugations, which are characteristic of many African languages. Efforts are being made to document and preserve the language, as it plays a crucial role in the cultural identity of the Suri people.
