Surface Web
The Surface Web refers to the part of the internet that is indexed by search engines like Google and Bing. This includes websites that are publicly accessible and can be found through standard search queries. Examples of Surface Web content include news articles, blogs, and social media posts.
In contrast to the Deep Web, which contains unindexed content such as databases and private networks, the Surface Web is easily navigable by the average user. It represents only a small fraction of the total internet, with estimates suggesting it comprises about 4-10% of the entire online content.
