Surdas
Surdas was a prominent 15th-16th century Indian poet and musician, known for his devotional songs dedicated to Lord Krishna. He is often regarded as one of the greatest saints of the Bhakti movement, which emphasized personal devotion to God over ritualistic practices.
Surdas's poetry, primarily written in Hindi, captures the love and playful interactions between Krishna and his devotees, especially Radha. His works, compiled in the collection called Sur Sagar, continue to inspire and influence Indian music and spirituality, highlighting themes of love, devotion, and the divine.
