Sura
A "Sura" is a chapter of the Quran, the holy book of Islam. The Quran consists of 114 Suras, each varying in length and covering various themes, including guidance, morality, and law. Suras are often recited in prayers and are fundamental to the beliefs and practices of Muslims.
Each Sura is divided into verses called Ayahs. The Suras are traditionally arranged in order of length, with the exception of the first Sura, Al-Fatiha, which is a short opening prayer. The recitation of Suras is an essential part of Islamic worship and spiritual practice.
