Supreme Court Of Japan
The Supreme Court of Japan is the highest court in the Japanese judicial system. Established in 1947, it serves as the final court of appeal for civil, criminal, and administrative cases. The court ensures that laws and regulations comply with the Constitution of Japan and interprets legal matters of national importance.
The Supreme Court consists of a Chief Justice and 14 other justices, all appointed by the Emperor of Japan based on the recommendation of the Cabinet. Justices serve for a term of 10 years, after which they can be reappointed. The court plays a crucial role in maintaining the rule of law in Japan.
