Superlatives
Superlatives are words used to describe the highest degree of a quality among three or more items. They often end in "-est" or use "most" before an adjective. For example, in the phrase "the tallest building," tallest indicates that one building is taller than all others in comparison.
Superlatives help us compare and highlight differences. Common examples include fastest, smartest, and largest. They are useful in everyday language, such as when discussing the best movie or the greatest athlete, allowing us to express opinions and make distinctions clearly.
