Super-G
Super-G is a type of alpine ski racing that combines elements of both downhill and giant slalom. It features a longer course than giant slalom but shorter than downhill, with fewer turns and higher speeds. Skiers navigate through a series of gates, which are set further apart than in slalom races, allowing for faster skiing.
The International Ski Federation (FIS) governs Super-G events, which are typically held on steep, challenging terrain. Athletes compete individually, and the fastest time wins. Super-G is part of major competitions, including the Winter Olympics and the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.
