Sun and Moon
The Sun is a massive star at the center of our solar system, providing light and heat essential for life on Earth. It is primarily composed of hydrogen and helium and undergoes nuclear fusion, which produces energy. The Sun's gravitational pull keeps the planets, including Earth, in orbit around it.
The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite, orbiting our planet at an average distance of about 238,855 miles. It is about one-quarter the size of Earth and has a significant impact on our planet, influencing ocean tides and stabilizing its axial tilt. The Moon's surface is covered with craters and dust, resulting from impacts over billions of years.
