Sultan Osman II
Sultan Osman II, also known as Osman the Young, was the 16th Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. He reigned from 1618 to 1622, becoming one of the youngest sultans in history at just 14 years old. His reign was marked by attempts to reform the military and administration, aiming to strengthen the empire.
Osman II faced significant challenges, including internal strife and opposition from powerful factions within the Ottoman court. His efforts to modernize the empire led to conflict with the Janissaries, the elite military corps. Ultimately, he was deposed and executed, highlighting the difficulties of leadership during a turbulent period.
